Signing off on a Checklist

You can sign off on a checklist as either a preparer or as a reviewer. Up to three people can sign off for each role if needed.

Your sign-off applies to all the disclosure checklists for the financial statements. You cannot sign off on individual component checklists.

To sign off on a client's checklists, do the following:

  1. ClosedOpen the client checklist.

    Note: If you are accessing AutoCheck from CCH Axcess™ Knowledge Coach, this step is not needed.

    1. If needed, click to open the All Clients page.
    2. Click the client's name in the list.

      Tip: You can use the Search box at the top of the All Clients page to find a specific client.

  2. On the Overview view, click the Sign Off circle that corresponds with your role. Your initials display in a shaded circle with a date stamp beneath it, indicating your approval.

Notes

  • If needed, you can remove your sign off by clicking the circle with your initials. Your initials are removed, and the Sign Off circle is available for another approver.
  • If you use AutoCheck along with CCH Axcess™ Knowledge Coach, you can also sign off on a checklist from the engagement forms list. Sign-offs made in one application are also visible in the other application. See the Knowledge Coach Help for more information.
